About The Area...
The Northern Piedmont region of Virginia is known for its rolling hills,
breathtaking views and charming way of life. It includes the counties of
Fauquier, Culpeper and Rappahannock. It is a lovely rural region, yet
it is close enough to the Washington, DC area to afford some of the best
employment opportunities in the country.
Slightly north of the Northern Piedmont is the region defined as Northern
Virginia. It is closer
to the DC area, and is more suburban. It includes the counties of Fairfax,
Prince William and Loudoun.
Both regions are known for their high quality of life. Most of the residents
of these areas are commuters who find employment in the area's vast array of
government agencies, high-tech corporations, associations and non-profit
organizations. It is no wonder this area offers some of the highest per

educations in college and graduate school. The region also offers close proximity
to some of the best state supported universities on the east coast -- the University
of Virginia, James Madison University, George Mason University, the Medical College
of Virginia, etc.
Those who makes their homes in Northern Virginia and the Northern Piedmont enjoy
the highest level of cultural life as well. The Washington, DC area is rich in art, music
